Engineered for high-performance impact noise control, NovaSound is a resilient, high-density membrane designed to sit discreetly under floors. Crafted from natural cork granules combined with recycled elastomeric compounds, this eco-conscious solution absorbs and dampens vibration caused by footsteps, furniture, or dropped objects, delivering smoother and quieter indoor environments.
Despite being just 2.5 mm thin, NovaSound doesn’t compromise on performance. Its dense, elastic structure effectively reduces impact sound by up to 21 dB, depending on the type of floor finish. It is suitable for use under ceramic tiles, glued or floating parquet, and maintains long-term stability without raising floor height.
Thermal insulation is an important part of NovaSound’s benefits — it exhibits a thermal conductivity of 0.085 W/mK, contributing to better energy efficiency and comfort by helping to regulate temperature.
Installation is straightforward: NovaSound is glued directly to the screed or existing subfloor using standard cement or polyurethane adhesive. Rolls must be fitted tightly together, and the material extends up the wall by about 10 cm to seal joints and reduce sound leaks. The membrane is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, and after 24 hours, the final floor finish can be installed directly on top.
Certified for both acoustic and environmental performance, NovaSound is VOC-rated Class A+, resistant to fungi, insects, and microbial degradation, and made to endure.
Ideal for residential and commercial buildings, NovaSound is a sustainable, invisible solution for reducing impact noise — whether in new construction or renovation, and especially where floor height must be preserved.
