HexyBEL acoustic panels feature a unique design that combines hexagon-shaped wood plates with PET-Felt backing. This seamless fusion of natural beauty and modern touch creates a mesmerising bee hive pattern when installed on your walls, making HexyBEL panels not just an acoustic solution but also a captivating design element.

 

The panels are lightweight and easy to handle. The PET-Felt can be easily cut to fit any size or shape of your wall. Thus, you can easily uncover the electrical sockets on the wall or adjust the panels to fit at the perimeter edges of the wall. The hexagon tiles are conveniently attached with staples to the felt background. 

Get Started with HexyBEL Acoustic Panels

If you are planning to cover the entire wall/ceiling surface area with HexyBEL panels, we recommend to start the installation from the bottom-left side of the area.

 

Make sure to remove the hexagon shaped wooden pieces from the sides of the panels which will be touching the perimeter of your wall/ceiling.

 

Removing the wooden pieces is quite simple. They are attached to the PET Felt backside with staples. Hexagon pieces can be easily pulled out with hands and then the staples can be also easily removed from the backside of the panels.

 

You can follow the same method of removing wooden pieces for making the space for electrical outlets. After removing the hexagon pieces, PET felt can be cut very easily using a craft knife. You can mark the dimensions and position of the outlets and then cut out the matching piece from the panel.

Installation Methods: Glue, Adhesive Tape, or Screws

Installing HexyBEL acoustic panels is a hassle-free process, offering versatility in arrangement options. Depending on your preference and the specific requirements of your space, you can choose between three installation methods: glue, adhesive tape, or screws. Before getting started make sure the installation area should be clean, dry and flat.

Here's how to install HexyBEL panels using each method:

Installation with Adhesive Tape:

Tape is an easy and convenient yet secure way to install your panels. Each HexyBEL panel already has a tape applied on the back. 

  1. Clean the surface where you'll be mounting the panels to ensure proper adhesion. 
  2. Peel off the backing from the adhesive tape. 
  3. Position the panel on the wall or ceiling, pressing firmly to secure it in place. 
  4. Repeat the process for each panel, ensuring they are perfectly aligned for a seamless look. 
  5. Allow the adhesive to dry completely for 24h before leaning furniture or other heavy items on the newly glued panels.

Installation with Glue:

Gluing is the most secure and therefore, most permanent installation method. You can order a recommended installation foam from our shop to make sure you will have an effective result.

 

Note that 1 can of glue (750 ml) is sufficient to cover 7 square meters of HexyBEL panels. 

  1. Clean the surface where you'll be mounting the panels to ensure proper adhesion.  
  2. Shake the can for 30 sec and apply a generous amount of polyurethane foam adhesive to the back of each panel. 
  3. Wait a couple of minutes for the adhesive to expand. 
  4. Press the panel firmly against the wall or ceiling, holding it in place for a couple of minutes to allow the adhesive to bond. 
  5. Repeat the process for each panel, ensuring they are perfectly aligned for a seamless look. 
  6. Allow the adhesive to dry completely for 24h before leaning furniture or other heavy items on the newly glued panels.

Installation with Screws:

This method is ideal for installing HexyBEL Acoustic Panels less permanently on the wall. If you want to remove the panels easily afterwards, choose the screwing method. 

  1. Determine the desired placement of each panel on the wall or ceiling.
  2. Position the panel and use self-drilling screws to drill directly into the PET felt part of the panel.
  3. Use at least 6 screws per panel.
  4. Repeat the process for each panel, ensuring they are perfectly aligned for a seamless look. 
  5. Enjoy your securely mounted HexyBEL acoustic panels, knowing they'll provide lasting sound absorption and visual appeal.
